Google’s increased tension! ‘BharOS’, Made-In-India Operating System

India is now going to compete with Android and iOS with the help of indigenous mobile operating system BharOS. This mobile OS prepared by IIT Madras has now got the green signal from the Government of India.

In the last few years, India has moved towards becoming self-sufficient in almost every field and now a new mobile operating system has been entered. That is, instead of using operating systems like Android and iOS in the phone, now ‘Made in India’ software will be used. This operating system, which has been in discussion for a long time, has been named BharOS and the government has given it the green signal.

India’s indigenous mobile operating system BharOS was successfully tested by IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and they flagged it off as part of a video call. Let me tell you, this mobile operating system has been prepared by the agency associated with IIT Madras and it can be made a part of mobile devices by any Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).

This company prepared BharOS

The new mobile operating system BharOS has been developed by JandK Operations Pvt Ltd in association with IIT Madras. It is claimed that it can be used comfortably in any commercial handset. According to the developers, with the help of this OS, users will get better privacy and security while using the phone. In terms of features, it can give a direct competition to Android.

Will not find any pre-installed apps

What makes the indigenous mobile operating system better is its No Default Apps (NDA) behavior. That is, it will get more storage space instead of Android and many apps will not be already installed in the phone. That is, users will not be forced to keep or use any such app in the phone, which they do not want to use. In comparison, many apps are already installed in Android phones.

Will keep getting software updates

The developers have told that BharOS will be given native ‘over the air’ (OTA) updates. That is, without going through any kind of long process, the latest software version will automatically be installed in the phone. This OS will be able to install trusted apps with Private App Store Services (PASS) and ensure that it is completely safe from malware or such threats. However, initially BharOS will be used by only those agencies which need better privacy.
