Xiaomi says that the print cost can be as low as 1.98 yuan (about Rs 22.85) per sheet. It is not yet clear whether it works with ZINK paper of other brands.

Xiaomi Portable Photo Printer 1S features ZINK (Zero-Ink) technology, which means it does not require an ink cartridge. It heats special paper to activate the color crystals. The printed photo has a sticky back and can be placed on a scrapbook or phone cover, etc. The box includes 5 sheets of photo paper. The 1S printer supports AR photos. Users can attach a 15-second video or 60-second audio clip to the photo via the Mi Home app. The printed photo plays the linked media when scanned from the app. The app also offers editing tools such as filters, collage layouts, and watermarks with avatars or text.
For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 5.2, which connects it. It supports up to three devices at a time. Wi-Fi is not required for this. The printer supports image formats such as JPEG, PNG, and HEIF. It works with Android 8.0 or iOS 12.0 and newer versions. AR content is managed through the Mi Home app, with a limit of 100 AR photos per user account. Talking about dimensions, the printer is 82 mm long, 124 mm wide, 22 mm thick. Being compact, it can be easily carried anywhere.
