Revanna faces serious allegations

Janata Dal Secular (JDS) today suspended Prajwal Revanna from the party with immediate effect for his involvement in an alleged ‘sex scandal’. The Karnataka government has appointed Additional Director General of Police B.K. to investigate the alleged sexual harassment of several women by Prajwal. A three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed under the leadership of Singh.
Prajwal Revanna fled to Germany
Prajwal has reportedly gone to Germany. Police recently arrested Prajwal Revanna and his father and former minister H.D. A case of sexual harassment and criminal intimidation was registered against Revanna. This case is based on the complaint of a woman working in his house. In a video message shared on social media, driver Karthik said that he had been working with Prajwal Revanna for the last 15 years but he had left the job for about a year.
Driver’s shocking revelation
He said, ‘The reason for keeping distance from Prajwal was that my land was taken away and my wife was beaten. I was mentally tortured. I left my job to fight to get the land back.’ Karthik said that he appealed to G for justice. Devaraje Gowda because he was fighting against the Deve Gowda family. Devaraje Gowda had contested the 2023 assembly elections on a BJP ticket from Holenarasipura assembly constituency and lost from Revanna.
Devaraje Gowda’s name taken
Karthik said, ‘Prajwal Revanna had brought a stay order (from the court) to stop me from releasing any obscene pictures or videos.’ He said, ‘Devaraje Gowda asked me to hand over the pictures and videos, which he did. Had promised to present him before the judge so that he can get help in getting the ban lifted. Trusting Devraje, I gave him a copy (of the video clip), which he used.
Accusations were also made against Devraje Gowda
Prajwal’s former driver alleged, ‘Apart from Devaraj Gowda, I did not give this video to Congress leaders or anyone else. I did not give the video and pictures to the Congress leaders because they were very close to Prajwal, so I contacted Devaraje Gowda, but he also betrayed me.’ Karthik said that since BJP and JD(S) have formed an alliance, Devaraje Gowda. Pointing out Prajwal’s conduct, he had written to his party high command not to give him the ticket.
What did Devaraj Gowda say?
Rejecting the allegations, Devaraje Gowda told reporters in Bengaluru that Karthik was in touch with Congress’ Lok Sabha candidate from Hassan constituency, Shreyas Patel. He said neither JD(S) nor BJP would release the video as it would go against the NDA alliance candidate. Devaraj Gowda said, ‘If anyone was benefiting from this, it was Congress. Only for his political gain, the Congress candidate (Shreyas Patel) played with the dignity of the women seen in the video. He said that he is waiting for the SIT to give him notice, where he will release important documents. .
