Palak paneer Recipes | Palak paneer is a popular Indian dish made with spinach (palak) and paneer (a type of Indian cottage cheese). There are many variations of the recipe, but a traditional method for making palak paneer is as follows:

Ingredients:
- 1 lb fresh spinach leaves
- 1 lb paneer, cut into cubes
- 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1-2 green chilies, minced (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder (optional)
- Salt, to taste
- 1 tablespoon ghee or oil
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (optional)
Instructions:
- Wash and clean the spinach leaves, then blanch them in boiling water for 2-3 minutes.
- Drain the spinach and puree it in a blender or food processor.
- Heat the ghee or oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Once hot, add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
- Add the onions, ginger, and garlic and fry until they turn golden brown.
- Add the spinach puree, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cubed paneer and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cream, if using. Mix it well and cook for another minute.
- Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
This is a simple version of the recipe, and you can customize it to your taste. You can add more spices or use more cream for a richer taste, or add other vegetables for more variety.
