People have cleared forests for their selfish interests, attempting to always assert their dominance over animals by encroaching upon their habitats. But what happens when animals intrude into human territory? When humans are helpless against the dominance of animals? Hollywood’s hit franchise ‘Planet of the Apes’ reboot’s fourth installment, ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes,’ depicts this scenario on screen, which is quite terrifying.

Movie Review: The saga of the “Planet of the Apes” series has been ongoing since 1968. Under the leadership of Andy Serkis, its previous trilogy incorporated incredible technology. Those interested in Hollywood films will surely remember Andy’s video, in which his face transformed into that of a monkey through motion capture filmmaking and computer-generated special effects. This filmmaking technique allows any animal’s skin to be worn over the performances of real actors through special effects. Andy Serkis’ character Caesar met his demise in the previous trilogy’s final film, “War of the Planet of the Apes.” Some principles remained. He was also a leader of the new generation. And the film “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” is a poignant tribute to this very character of the franchise and is a story of several generations after the previous series.

Expansion of the Empire of the Apes Even if viewers haven’t seen the stories of the “Planet of the Apes” series until now, they can still enjoy this film as an independent entity. The film reveals its geography right from the start. Humans created a virus that made the ape species so intelligent that they not only speak but also think like humans. Emotions like love, hate, disgust, humor, romance, and compassion have all come into them. And humans? Under the influence of this virus, they forgot to speak. Some were killed in the struggle for dominance in the empire that was formed on Earth. The film “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” is the story of this backdrop. The apes are also divided among themselves. Some are living freely with their families, and some have a leader who wants to subdue everyone under his control. Red flags flutter at his headquarters. They kneel and apply tilak on their foreheads and do exactly what their leader does.

The Prince’s Long Leap The story begins with a display of the prince’s courage. This prince belongs to the clan of apes that has acquired expertise in turning eagles into domesticated birds. With his two friends, the prince goes to the top floor of a towering ruin in search of an eagle’s eggs. He takes the longest leap ever to bring the eagle’s egg. The next day, there is to be a celebration of new relationships with this new life found in his lair and the eggs. But before that, his confrontation with a human takes place at night. The relationship between humans and animals starts a new puzzle from here. The king of the clan is killed. His people are enslaved. The prince sets out in search of his clan. On the way, he meets an elderly friend. After facing an encounter with a human, the prince’s life changes; he is a speaking human. The nameless woman sees in this prince a means to save the future of humanity, and the story reaches the camps of the devotees.

Skilled Use of Global Politics A film like “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes,” with its slogan “struggle is our motto against every oppression,” is contemporary in many respects. The symbols here clearly show the present time. This story of a clash between a giant ape and a small monkey on the path of tyranny is a story of courage, determination, and doing something for one’s society. It also forms an alliance that turns the tables with unexpected support. It tries to bring history to new series and includes requests to bring bookish knowledge to the ground reality and save humanity’s future. The prince still has to abide by the promises made to his father, but the young woman who accompanies him has no such heritage. She is wandering in the wilderness only so that, somehow, if there is any human species left alive anywhere, she can return their voice. In the bastion of the deaf, there are a handful of people left, those who can still speak, and the arrival of this woman can bring an interesting twist in the upcoming films of this series.

A Good Example of Wes Ball’s Skill Along with the excellence of cinematic technology, the film “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” also benefits greatly from the emotional mastery of its director Wes Ball. Wes, who has directed all three films of the “Maze Runner” series, has got an opportunity in this film to show some more miracles of his abilities and he has made the most of this opportunity with both hands. What Andy Serkis learned from his previous trilogy, he has taught to the actors of this new film with complete dedication. And because of this, there is a lot of authenticity in the performances of all the actors of the film “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.”

Learn to Flow Slowly… The story of the film “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” is a bit sluggish at the beginning, but perhaps this is because it is trying to connect new audiences to the film. Once the film picks up pace, the flow of the entire impact continues until the climax. Owen Teague has delivered an impressive performance in the role of the ape prince Noah, Freya Allan fits well in the role of Mia, and Peter Mullan as Raka succeeded in balancing humor in the film. However, Kevin Durand’s portrayal of the cruel character of Premier Caesar falls short of providing assistance to this CGI-generated ape. A big reason for this could also be the construction of this face. The film’s cinematography is excellent. Editing could have been a bit tighter to shorten the film’s length. The background music decorates the film’s atmosphere and is good. The film is liked by youth. This weekend, it can also be enjoyed in theaters with family.
