Organ Transplant Through Fake NOC, 3 Famous Doctors Accused
Rajasthan is far ahead in medical terms compared to the surrounding states. This is the reason why people from nearby states also come to Rajasthan for treatment. But recently the fake NOC case of organ transplant has put us to shame. In which fake NOC was distributed for a few rupees.
Fake NOC distributed in exchange for money
The organ transplant fake NOC case had shaken the entire Rajasthan. How fake NOC was distributed for money, keeping rules and regulations in mind. This came to light after the action of Anti Corruption Bureau. About a month ago, ACB trapped the Assistant Administrative Officer of Sawai Mansingh Hospital. Due to which interrogation revealed that he had distributed fake NOC to Fortis and HCCC hospitals of Jaipur for Rs 25 to 35 thousand. Big revelations continued to be made in the case layer by layer.
The blame fell on 3 officer doctors
After a month of investigation, finally action was taken against the officials. SMS Medical College Principal Dr. Rajeev Bagrahatta and SMS Hospital Superintendent Dr. Achal Sharma had to resign regarding this matter. Based on the investigation report, the resignations of both the officers were also accepted. Dr. Sudhir Bhandari, who was holding the post of Chairman of SOTO, has also been removed.
Recommendation for removal from the post of VC of RUHS
Dr. Sudhir Bhandari is undoubtedly distancing himself from this matter. This is why he did not offer to resign. But the Health Department has removed him from the post of Chairman of SOTO. Investigation had revealed that the certificates given to the participants in the training program for Organ Transplant Coordinators held in the month of September were signed by Dr. Sudhir Bhandari as SOTO Chairman. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the report of the State Government Inquiry Committee will now be sent to Raj Bhavan and it will also be recommended to remove him from the post of VC of RUHS.
What was the game of Organ Transplant NOC?
In fact, illegal organ transplantation in private hospitals of the state had become a matter of concern for the health department and officials. Due to the negligence and connivance of some officials of the medical department, fake NOCs were issued to private hospitals. Due to which organ transplants were being done illegally.
ACB busted the entire nexus
About a month ago, ACB exposed this entire nexus. ACB arrested Gaurav Singh, Assistant Administrative Officer of SMS Hospital. Along with this, officials of two private hospitals were also arrested. When ACB raided Gaurav Singh’s house, hundreds of fake NOCs were recovered. After this, when the collusion of private hospitals of Jaipur itself came to light, three senior officials and doctors were blamed.
