The world’s first 6G prototype device has been introduced. In this high speed 6G prototype device, data can be transferred at a speed of 100 Gbps. It is 20 times faster than the existing 5G technology and can cover an area of ​​300 feet. Japanese telecom company DOCOMO, NTT Corporation, NEC Corporation and Fujitsu have jointly introduced the world’s first 6G prototype device. This device has successfully tested the speed of 6G network for the first time on April 11.

According to the report, this prototype device was tested both indoor and outdoor. Indoors, this 6G device has achieved superfast speed of 100 Gbps on the 100 GHz band. At the same time, this speed has been achieved in outdoor on 300 GHz band. This test has been conducted at a distance of 328 feet i.e. 100 meters from the receiver. However, the speed of the 6G device has been quite impressive, as it has been tested on a single device. Its speed may reduce in multi devices.

For example, the maximum speed of 5G is up to 10 Gbps. However, in the real world it can provide average internet speed only from 200 to 400 Mbps. However, higher frequency bands have been used commercially for 5G networks. Higher frequency means higher internet speed, but it also has a drawback. Due to high frequency range, the range of the network reduces because its penetration range decreases.

Flaws of 6G technology

6G will require higher frequency bands, which means devices will not be able to get the necessary frequencies to achieve fast downloads. Not only this, there will be many other factors to reduce the speed of 6G, which include walls, rain etc. Transition from 4G to 5G networks is currently going on in many countries, because the new generation provides faster data transmission than the previous generation. Video streaming becomes better due to faster data transmission.

Due to higher internet speed in 6G technology, real-time holographic communication will be possible. Apart from this, virtual and mixed reality experience will also be better. However, it will take several more years for 6G technology to become commercially available. This prototype device will help researchers in the world to understand and improve this new generation technology.
