Jahangir, wearing a vest, roamed around with 32 crore cash, riding an old scooter; carrying notes in a bag.

The team from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), who arrested Jahangir, the servant of Minister Alamgir Alam’s PS Sanjeev Lal, said that he used to come and go to the flat near the car depot chowk at Syed Residency in a normal way. So that no one would suspect him. The residents of the apartment said that he used to come to the flat carrying a bag in ten days, spending an hour or two before leaving. A sum of 32.30 crore rupees was recovered from this flat.

As long as he stayed in the flat, he only wore a vest and trousers. He didn’t keep any sort of formality. Jahangir had completely secured his flat. After buying the flat, he had installed a grill on the door. He never came to the apartment in a four-wheeled vehicle. He used to come and go on an old white scooter. He did the same to come and go to the apartment.

He did this so that no one could know about the amount he had. He also did not keep in touch with the people of the apartment. When he went to his flat, if anyone saw him, he would greet them and leave.

The people living in the apartment said that Jahangir did not come to his flat every day. He used to come in ten days. He used to come carrying a bag in his hand and would directly go to his flat. After spending one to two hours, he would leave again. The people of the apartment said that Jahangir had bought the flat only to keep money.

Jahangir had paid this amount to the flat owner at once. He was preparing to buy flats from other people in that apartment as well. When the ED raided Jahangir’s flat and recovered 32.30 crore rupees, and the people around got to know about it, they were astonished. People said that they had no idea that a person living in slippers, trousers, and a vest would have so much money. People said that if they had known, they would have stolen the money themselves.
