- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

For the syrup:

Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix together the bread crumbs, milk, flour, sugar, baking powder, and cardamom powder. Knead the mixture until it forms a smooth dough.
- Pinch off small portions of the dough and roll them into balls about the size of a ping pong ball.
- Heat the oil in a deep-fryer or a large pan to 350°F (175°C). Carefully drop the balls into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- To make the syrup, combine the sugar, water, and cardamoms in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5-6 minutes, or until the syrup thickens slightly. Remove from heat and add rose water if desired.
- Once the jamuns are cooled, drop them into the hot syrup and let them soak for at least 1 hour.
- Once the jamuns are well soaked, take them out from the syrup and serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
