Mahindra XUV300 facelift Reveals New Interior Details During Testing
Most of the Mahindra SUVs like XUV700, Scorpio-N and Thar dominate their respective segments. But, the XUV300 has not achieved the same level of popularity, even though it continues to deliver consistent sales numbers for the company every month. The company is preparing to launch the facelift variant of Mahindra XUV300 in the market very soon, with which the company will keep an eye on better results, which is planned to be launched in the first half of 2024. The company may see strong demand for the SUV after the launch of the XUV300 facelift with new features like exterior and panoramic sunroof.
What’s new in Mahindra XUV300 facelift?
Test mules of the XUV300 facelift were recently spotted near Mahindra’s Nashik plant. The spy shots reveal that the exterior of the XUV300 facelift has been refreshed with a refreshed front fascia and rear section. The design language used is similar to Mahindra’s upcoming BE range of electric SUVs. Some of the key features include distinctive C-sized LED DRLs, updated headlamps and refreshed front grille and bumper.
C-sized lighting elements can also be seen at the rear. It has boot lid and bumper look. The side profile remains largely the same as before. The alloy wheels on the testing mule are similar to those on the existing model. However, it is possible that the top-spec variant may get a new set of alloy wheels. There are also some new color options for the XUV300 facelift.
XUV300 facelift interior updates and features
The XUV300 facelift can be seen with a large panoramic touchscreen infotainment system. It appears to be a 10.25-inch unit. At present, the current model is equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen. The XUV300 will also get a new digital instrument screen. The central console has also been updated in this. The test mule has beige upholstery, which is already available with the existing model. The steering wheel also feels the same.

One of the safest cars in India
The XUV300 is one of the safest cars in India, having received a 5-star adult safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test. It is possible that the XUV300 may also be certified by India NCAP. The current model gets more than two dozen safety features including 6 airbags, hill hold assist, corner braking control, electronic stability program (ESP), front parking sensors and all 4-disc brakes.
XUV300 facelift powertrain options
The XUV300 facelift will continue with the existing powertrain options. It includes a 1.2-litre turbo petrol MPI engine, which generates 110ps of maximum power and 200Nm of peak torque. The 1.2-litre turbo petrol GDI engine generates 130PS of power and 230Nm of torque. Whereas, the 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine generates 117ps and 300nm torque. All engines have transmission options of 6-speed manual and 6-speed autoshift.
